We are now firmly in the midst of autumn. In Europe, autumn signifies the arrival of winter, while here in Morocco it signifies the ending of summer!

Summer in Marrakech can be quite hot whereas average daily temperatures in Marrakech during October are very pleasant, ranging between 14° and 28°, a welcome contrast with the heat of summer. With monthly rainfall increasing only slightly to some 23 mm and sunshine hours of around nine hours per day, October is one of the best months for visiting the city that has it all. And, of course, there is plenty to see and do in terms of events and festivals if you’ll be visiting Marrakech this autumn.
It's Pool Season in Marrakech!

July and August are at the height of European and American tourist season which happens to coincide with pool season in Marrakech! With average temperatures in the 30's, a swimming pool becomes more than a luxury, it becomes a necessity! At Hotel Al Fassia we are lucky enough to have a large swimming pool set in a open but intimate part of the hotel; here you can bask in the glorious Marrakech sun while sipping on a refreshing cocktail or two. Don't be fooled by a lot of other hotels and riads in Marrakech who claim to have pools, sadly, these tend to be little more than ornamental plunge pools.
May is just around the corner!

With an average of 9 hours of sunshine per day, only 20 mm of rainfall (typically falling over just 3 days) and daytime temperatures hovering around 27˚c, the month of May really is one of the best times to make that visit to Marrakech. Other than the glorious weather, Morocco also has lots more to offer the curious tourist, including an array of world famous festivals to enjoy.
